Here you can download files related to the DemoDVD project. Various samples from Volume 2 will be posted during production.

MindCandy Volume 2 Preview Disc

We printed 200 special promo DVDs, and gave most of them away at Assembly 2005 in Helsinki. For everyone else, we've made the content available for download. All you need are a .RAR file unpacker, a DVD writer, a blank DVD+/-R disc (unless you can play DVD files on your HD), and a program to unpack/burn .ISO image files.

The preview DVD is only a small glimpse of the final product. It contains:

5 demos: Love, Groovy, Closer, Perfect Circle, and 9 Fingers
Volume 2 demo trailer
Volume 2 featurette trailer: "Demographics 2: Portrait of a Party"
All the audio modes appearing on the final DVD: (1) original Amiga soundtrack, (2) remastered 5.1 surround sound track, and (3) audio commentary track. Trixter provides exclusive commentary for the preview; it will be replaced in the final.
All the demo playback modes appearing on the final DVD: (1) all demos, (2) one demo, (3) shuffle (random), and (4) jukebox (custom playlist!)
A special menu layout for the preview. ;) The final menu layout will be much different.
And of course, the obligatory easter egg. ;)

The preview DVD is region-free and unencrypted.

For best results, we recommend you view the DVD on a TV set. Just choose the right format for your region:

NTSC (North America & Japan) - 23 files, 1.09GB total
PAL (Europe & most other countries) - 23 files, 1.07GB total

For playback on any computer, we recommend the PAL version.

The downloads also include a printable DVD label image.

Player Test Files:

These are some files you can test to see how well your software DVD player plays interlaced material:

FlickerBox.zip - (NTSC) A motion test to ensure that your player not only interprets fields properly, but displays them distinctly instead of blending them together.
